A charming, semi-detached house in traditional Edinburgh mews.
One of our best holiday apartments in Edinburgh, Circus Lane is part of a picturesque, cobbled mews. On the cusp of the New Town and Edinburgh’s affluent Stockbridge area, guests have all the usual city-centre conveniences while retaining the feel of a quiet residential retreat.
Interior layout
Circus Lane features two double bedrooms (one en-suite), a well-stocked kitchen, a bathroom (with fitted bath) and a bright and comfortably furnished living/dining room with table seating for four.
The spacious, king-sized master bedroom is located on the ground floor. Light-filled curtains and a muted colour palette create a calm and relaxing space. Plenty of storage space is available inside the sideboard or the chest of drawers. Relax in the armchairs and enjoy watching television, or make the most of the reading lamps on the bedside tables. The en-suite bathroom contains a fitted bath with a handheld showerhead.
A sleek, modern open staircase takes you up to the first floor. There, you will find a peaceful double bedroom, complete with a unique wooden wall mirror, two bedside tables with lamps, and lovely hardwood floors.
Adjacent to the bedroom, the bright and modern full bathroom features a glass shower cubicle.
The house’s kitchen and cosy living areas are located across the hallway on the first floor. The fully -equipped kitchen contains everything you might need for self catering, including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and kettle. In the living and dining room, a compact dining table seats four, and plenty of relaxed seating provides the perfect space to sit back and spend time with family and friends.
A washing machine is at your disposal, and a high chair and travel cot are available by request.
This self-catering property has Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. Please note that there is no parking at the apartment. On-street parking is free from 5:30 p.m till 8:30 a.m. on Monday to Friday and free from 5:30 p.m. on Friday to 8:30 a.m. on Monday. You can find more information from our parking guide in Edinburgh.
Around and about
Circus Lane is just a lovely, ten-minute walk from Princes Street and Edinburgh’s central shopping districts. Wander down Circus Lane, past St Vincent’s Pub and St Stephen’s Theatre to walk through the Georgian New Town and reach the city centre.
Alternatively, guests can head north to Stockbridge, where they can enjoy the Sunday Stockbridge market or any of the area’s myriad pubs, cafes and boutique shops. Independent stores such as IJ Mellis Cheesemongers and Herbie’s Edinburgh are excellent for making the most out of your self-catering kitchen at Circus Lane!
And if this sounds all a bit too hectic, why not unwind with a stroll around Edinburgh’s world-famous botanical gardens, also just a short walk away. Enjoy Edinburgh through the seasons by exploring the Water of Leith Walkway, which will take you to scenic Dean Village and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, if you follow it towards the west.

Important
This self-catering accommodation is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure.
House Rules
- This apartment accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
- Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
- Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
- No pets are allowed.
- Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:30 a.m.
- Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or outside the apartment building.
- Access to the back garden is not permitted.

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

Should you prefer to receive the check-in instructions further in advance, please do not hesitate to let us know. Luggage Storage
You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
