Once a narrow medieval wynd, St Mary’s Street today is home to lovely cafes and renowned restaurants. Just a five minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, our St Mary’s Street Edinburgh holiday accommodation is perfect for sightseers, festival-goers, and those keen to wander the many closes, courts, and wynds of this wonderful city.

An entrance on the first floor takes guests through to a spacious and well-lit hallway. Throughout the apartment, beautiful hardwood floors create a welcoming traditional feel.

In the combined living and dining room, two comfortable double sofas create a cosy area for gathering and relaxing. A television atop an antique wooden sideboard provides entertainment, and a gold-framed mirror, elegant mantle, and a painting of a Scottish landscape serve to ornament the space, with a classic rug adding warmth underfoot. Beside the spacious double windows, a simple and sturdy dining table seats up to six.

The modern kitchen is stocked with everything you might need for your stay, including an induction hob, oven, washing machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, and dishwasher. New floors and contemporary appliances create a tidy and refreshing space. The bright and airy master bedroom looks out onto St Mary’s Street and features a double bed, a mantel mirror, and two nightstands with bedside lamps. A beautiful vintage dresser and an elegant antique wardrobe provide storage for your things, and a delightful light red armchair offers a chance to rest your legs.

A mere stone’s throw from the Royal Mile, St Mary’s Street is just a five-minute walk from Waverley Station. Those taking the bus or tram to the city centre from Edinburgh Airport can easily access the apartment on foot.

The apartment is very well-positioned for exploring Edinburgh’s many attractions. Palace of Holyroodhouse and Holyrood Park are less than ten minutes away, and Edinburgh Castle, the Camera Obscura, and the Scotch Whisky Experience are less than a fifteen-minute walk along the Royal Mile. The shopping and restaurant thoroughfares along Princes Street and George Street in the New Town can likewise be reached in less than ten minutes.

Guests will find themselves at the centre of Edinburgh’s vast network of festival venues and food and drink options. The White Horse Oyster & Seafood Bar is an excellent choice for sampling Scotland’s finest seafood, and located just around the corner on the Royal Mile. Guests may also enjoy the real ales and craft beers available at the Holyrood 9A, or the creative ice cream sandwiches at Moo Pie Gelato, both just down the street. 

Vegetarians will rejoice at the presence of David Bann Restaurant, Edinburgh’s finest vegetarian restaurant – also on St. Mary’s Street! –And the vegetarian options at The Wedgwood and The Pakora Bar nearby are plentiful as well.

One member of the booking party must be at least 25 years old.

Important

This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required prior to arrival and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.

House rules

  • This apartment accommodates a maximum of 5 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
  • Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
  • Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:30 a.m.
  • Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or outside the apartment building on the stairs.
