This second floor two-bedroom self-catering holiday accommodation is the perfect Edinburgh holiday apartment to live life like a local with the added convenience of being only a short walk or bus ride from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town. Ideal for those looking for a short term let or a holiday accommodation where peace and tranquility are the status quo at the end of a busy day sight-seeing.

Interior layout

Sleeping up to 4 people, this colourful 2 bedroom second floor apartment is filled with light, with two double bedrooms, an open plan living and dining space, and an impressive outdoor terrace.

Entering into the bright hallway, you will find the kitchen / living room space directly in front of you at the end of the hallway, with the family bathroom to your left. This exceptional open plan space provides the perfect environment to relax in after a busy day treading the cobbles, with two comfy sofas and a dining table with seating for 4 people tucked around the corner.

Separated from the living space with a dividing wall, the compact modern kitchen has all the useful appliances you need if you decide to stay in and cook, including hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and, of course, a kettle so you can make yourself right at home the moment you arrive with a proper cup of tea. For added convenience, you’ll find a dishwasher and a washing machine in the kitchen also.

To top it off, there is direct access from the living space to a large outdoor terrace, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine on a long Scottish summer’s evening or a spot of star-gazing under a blanket in the winter. The terrace boasts south and south-east facing views over the roofs of the New Town.

To the right of the entrance you will find the spacious main bedroom with a comfy double bed and the luxury of an adjoining modern en-suite shower room.

The second double bedroom boasts equal comfort and there also an additional family bathroom across the hallway which makes for optimum convenience, and is finished to a high standard, with a sleek tiled bath and overhead shower.

Beyond the comfortable living spaces, you’ll discover a small study, if working-from-home is a necessity while you are travelling.

Towels and linen are supplied and a travel cot and/or high for your little one can also be provided – please request the travel cot and high chair at least three days in advance of your arrival date. Be sure to bring your own linen for the travel cot as we do not provide this. The travel cot comes equipped with a standard UK lightweight foldable mattress. However, if you prefer an additional mattress for extra comfort, please bring that along as well.

Around and about

St Stephen Street is situated right in the heart of the Stockbridge district, where you can take advantage of the Sunday Stockbridge market or any of the area’s myriad pubs, cafes and boutique shops. Independent stores such as IJ Mellis Cheesemongers and Unknown Italy are excellent for making the most out of your self-catering kitchen!

And if this sounds all a bit too hectic, why not unwind with a stroll along the Water of Leith Walkway, which will take you to scenic Dean Village and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

One member of the booking party must be at least 25 years old.

Important

This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required prior to arrival and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.

House rules

  • This apartment accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
  • Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
  • Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:30 a.m.
  • Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

Luggage Storage

You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
